Springerle cookies were among the traditional ornaments used to adorn Pennsylvania German tabletop trees. Ours are handmade, one at a time, as they have been for hundreds of years. These are actual springerle cookies, but have been cured to harden for many months, and are ribboned with pretty gold ribbon. We have many hundreds of designs, and ask that you allow us to choose a nice mix for you. Designs will vary greatly, and include people scenes, animals, fruits and flowers, holidays, and many other traditional motifs. We will NOT duplicate any designs in your order. Each order comes with a brochure on the history of springerle cookies. . With proper care they will keep for many years as beautiful adornments on your Christmas tree, or as decorations in your home. We have had some in a shadow box for 15 years now! Cookie ornaments are fragile, so we ship them very carefully and do enclose detailed, simple care instructions with each order.
